Andre describes Massage Therapy as  having numerous health benefits beyond just relaxation. Being able to address postural and muscular imbalances while encouraging a client's mind to return to a happy, relaxed state where healing and rest can take place are just some of the benefits.

Andre is a Remedial Massage Therapist  with diplomas in both Wellness and Relaxation Massage as well as Remedial Massage Therapy from the New Zealand College of Chinese Medicine.  Andre's knowledge of Massage is evidence based and current. He will ensure that every session is conducted considerately, prioritizing your safety and well-being above all else.

Andre's passion for the medicinal properties of herbal extracts and essential oils, combined with his knowledge of anatomy, physiology and massage, has shaped Elements Massage Therapy's philosophy - integrating carefully selected elements from nature into every treatment in order to maximize healing.

What to expect at your appointment

A brief client intake form is to be completed initially to identify issues, help the therapist understand your personal preferences and to help plan the massage session.

Range of motion testing of joints, special orthopedic tests, postural and gait analysis may also be required before your massage in order to determine areas or soft tissue that require attention.

After the treatment, clarification of findings, re-booking, goal setting or stretches may be discussed.

After a massage treatment, exertion is discouraged in order to prolong some of the benefits such as relaxation. Please make sure you don't have anything too strenuous to do afterwards.

What to wear:  If joint range of motion is to be tested, its best to wear flexible clothing that wont restrict movements. Although we have shorts on site if needed. Also, all jewelry around the treatment areas will need to be removed and hair tied up if possible if work on the neck and shoulders is required.
